Welcome to Ayrshire Dog Care - Your Pet In Safe Hands! Situated on
the outskirts of Ayr and Prestwick, Ayrshire Dog Care provides care, attention, exercise and fun for your dog, whether he
visits us for day care, spends his holidays with us, or whether we pick him up from home to take him on his daily walk.
We are adjacent to the River Ayr Walk and Auchincruive Estate, close to Prestwick and Ayr beaches and the Failford
Gorge to name a few, all providing wonderful walks, exercise and fun! Our walks are not just about exercise but also exploration,
investigation and socialisation!
DOG AND PUPPY DAY CARE SERVICE - regular bookings or "one-offs" For our day care guests, we are situated in eight acres of securely fenced grass areas where they can enjoy, with your permission, off-lead
play and exercise, either in a group or individually. For the more energetic, how about some fun on our little agility
course or for hot days, perhaps a little paddle in one of our paddling pools. For a little "R and R", our
courtyard with comfy beds or our decked area, is ideal for a snooze and a snack. After a walk on a cold winter's
day, perhaps nothing beckons more than to curl up in front of one of our log burning stoves! DOG
AND PUPPY HOME BOARDING SERVICE - a wonderful, stress-free alternative to boarding kennels. It may be that
you need to leave your dog behind whilst away on business, holiday etc but don't want to put him into kennels or rely
on relatives and friends. Ayrshire Dog Care can provide a "home from home" environment where he can enjoy
all the fun and games during the day with his friends and stay in the house at night. Best of both worlds! IMPORTANT
- PLEASE NOTE: We do not "farm" your dog out to a third party. He will live with us in our home for the
duration of his stay.
DOG WALKING SERVICE We can also arrange to pick your dog up from home,
take him on his daily walk for about an hour and then drop him off again, ensuring that he has plenty of fresh water and perhaps
a treat. We will make sure he is settled and comfortable before leaving him, hopefully to snooze.
PET
"POP-IN" VISITS For small animals - e.g. cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens etc, we can arrange
to visit your home to feed, water and clean out cages. We will take the time to give them a little tlc and health check before
leaving.
DOG TRAINING AND PUPPY SOCIALISATION CLASSES We also run non aversive training classes
- both obedience and fun agility - as well as socialisation classes for your new puppy. The classes are held in our secure
designated arena and we work hard to ensure that they are fun and a positive experience for both dog and handler.
Before any booking for Day Care or Home Boarding, we will arrange for you to visit us here with your dog to see the facilities
we have, to answer any questions and to put your mind at rest that your dog will receive the best possible care and attention
and that you will be leaving him in safe, capable and loving hands. During this consultation we will take note of
your dog's reactions to help us ensure that he has a relaxed and happy time with us on his future visits.
For Dog Walking bookings, we will visit you in your home to be introduced to your dog before the arrangement
starts.
Our ethos is based on the belief that our clients' needs and peace of mind are of paramount importance.
We are committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of Ayrshire Dog Care's business is
from repeat customers and recommendations.
We have many years' experience looking after pets - from hamsters to horses and everything in between, including
our own (dog friendly) pet pigs!
As clients of our veterinary surgery for over 20 years, we come recommended
by them and in an emergency, have immediate access to them. If we have any concerns about your pet, we would, of
course, try to contact you and your own vet in the first instance. More and more of us are working longer hours but
thankfully realise that being alone for long spells is no life for our dogs. We at Ayrshire Dog Care can
give you peace of mind, knowing that he is receiving the exercise, stimulation and company that he needs to be a happy, well
adjusted member of the family. No more coming home to scenes of destruction and a stressed, unhappy dog! Many
of our clients tell us that since using Ayrshire Dog Care on a regular basis, they have noticed a positive change in
their dog's behaviour and temperament
